Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative (BADAC) delivers a range of holistic services that encompass the areas of health, social and emotional wellbeing, and welfare, to local Aboriginal people based in Ballarat and surrounding areas, including:

Social and Emotional Wellbeing
BADAC’s Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) services are a primary mental health and drug and alcohol service specialising in Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander wellbeing and tailored to be culturally appropriate and inclusive of individual, family and community needs.
The range of SEWB services offered include:
- SEWB Counselling and treatment;
- Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling;
- Making a Change (MAC) Program;
- Psychological Treatment Services (Adult and Children);
- BADAC Keela Borron (Parental Mental Health Support);
- Youth Mental Services;
- AOD Peer Support program;
- Visiting Psychiatrist and Psychologists
Eligibility Criteria
This service is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have an active BADAC membership.
Fees
This service charges $1 for an annual membership.
