The Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA) is a service for survivors of recent sexual assault as well as their partners, family and friends.

The Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA) works towards the prevention and elimination of sexual assault in the community by increasing awareness and knowledge. Ballarat CASA recognises that sexual assault is a violation of a human right and a crime against the individual and society and its prevention and elimination is the responsible of the community. Ballarat CASA is proudly inclusive of people of all races, cultures, and LGBTQ+.

Ballarat CASA provides a safe and supportive environment in which people who have experienced sexual assault can explore the impact of the sexual assault on their lives and helps to assist survivors to reclaim control in their lives and relationships. This service also for people participating in or are affected by the child abuse royal commission.

The organisation provides a number of free, confidential and professional services for survivors of sexual assault as well as their partners, friends, and family. These include:

  • 24-hour crisis support
  • Outreach services to Bacchus Marsh, Ararat and Daylesford
  • Sexually Abusive behaviour treatment services
  • Support groups
  • Training and workforce development
  • Counselling, advocacy and case management
  • Royal commission support
  • Secondary consultation

This service is available for survivors of sexual assault, their family, partners and friends.
