A specialist bereavement counselling service for individuals, children, and families who need (non-crisis) assistance following the death of someone close to them.

Based in Melbourne, the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB) is an independent, not for profit organisation that provides a range of services including a statewide (non-crisis) counselling service via phone and online for anyone bereaved by suicide. ACGB's mission is to build the capacity of individuals, organisations, and communities in order to enhance well-being following adverse life events.

ACGB’s services include:

  • Counselling
  • Support groups
  • Secondary consultations for health practitioners
  • Links to other bereavement services
  • Annual Remembrance Week
  • Online publications and resources

This services is available to anyone living in Australia.
